Please reach us at admin@sagecognitive.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.
You don't require a referral to book for an assessment with Sage Cognitive. However, there are various cases where they are useful and recommended. These include where a client is engaged with a specialist, such as a psychiatrist or a neurologist.
Only in limited instances are neuropsychological assessments partially covered by Medicare or private health funds. You will need to inquire directly with your private health fund, as each fund has different regulations. Medicare eligibility can be discussed when you contact Sage Cognitive, in consultation with your GP.
Yes, Sage is a registered provider with the NDIS. To find out more about your eligibility for the NDIS, please phone the NDIS on 1800 800 110 or visit www.ndis.gov.au.
When you attend Sage Cognitive for your assessment, both interviews and results are confidential, the final report generated after your assessment will be provided for you to disseminate.
There are some exceptions to confidentiality, namely reporting an intention to harm yourself or others, or report or suspect the abuse of a minor. All practising psychologists are mandated by law to adhere to these reporting requirements.
Sage will provide you with information concerning the specific venue once you confirm your appointment.
Sage does not accept referrals for medicolegal assessments. We do accept referrals, under certain circumstances, for cognitive assessments associated with worker's compensation cases.
